To prevent theft, especially in the most populous areas, it is better wearing a pouch in front of you (no backpacks and shoulder bags) and put the money and documents (preferably photocopies) in different places.

TIP: If you can, don't go to Rome city center by car. Look for accommodation in the suburbs and reach the downtown by public transport. I say this because besides the difficulty of driving in a city so busy, there is a risk, if you park in the street, that a thief will break the glass to steal something inside the car.

The Jubilee requested by Pope Francis (Papa Francesco) will take place in Rome, at the Vatican, on December 8, 2015 with the opening of the Holy Door of St. Peter's Basilica and will end on November 20, 2016. What better time to visit Rome. In this article I provide you all relevant information to:

holy doorThe "Via Francigena" has been traveled for centuries by pilgrims. They arrived in Rome by walking on this trail from various parts of Europe. The famous and ancient trail starting in Canterbury (U.K) and crossing Europe.
On the occasion of Jubilees, make this journey on foot, it takes on a special value because it ends with the crossing of the Holy Door "Porta Santa".

      "The Pilgrim's Credential"

To make this journey not as a tourist but as a Pilgrim, you need a document called "The Pilgrim's Credential"

It is document to take with themselves. It attests that the person who holds it is doing a pilgrimage and allows access to reception facilities. In any place where you will be hosted, you receive a stamp, until the completion of the journey.

Rome is always worth a visit at least once in your life. If you organize a trip during the year in which the jubilee takes place, you can admire a double spectacle: You can visit Rome "la città eterna" and the Jubilee.
