WHERE TO STAY IN IBIZA BEST AREA? SPAIN ISLANDS

where to stay in ibiza
where to stay in Ibiza

WHERE TO STAY IN IBIZA? BEST place to stay in IBIZA. Where is the party place in Ibiza? What is the best time to go to Ibiza? How expensive is Ibiza?

How expensive is it in Ibiza?

In July and August Ibiza is quite expensive.

Where is the party scene in Ibiza?

Ibiza town Marina, Sant Antoni de Portmany, Disco Pacha.

What is the best time to go to Ibiza?

If you prefer a less croweded month go to Ibiza in June and September. The peak of the high season is at the end of July until mid-August.

Where Ibiza on a budget?

Go to Sant Antoni de Portmany, in this village there are a lot of hostel.

WHERE IS THE BEST AREA TO STAY IN IBIZA?

Spanish islands are my favourite holiday destination. Today I talks about Ibiza, I have stayed several times in Eivissa, especially when I was young... I am not so elderly now but...
At 20 years, like most guys, Spain and the Balearics in gereral are the main destinations for fun-filled holidays in a youth and dynamic environment.

WHERE TO STAY IN  IBIZA?

PLAYA D'EN BOSSA: For the "movida" lovers, fun and entertainment  with people from all over the world.

Playa d'en Bossa is one of the main tourist resorts of Ibiza. Here is the largest beach in Ibiza long about 3 km.
There are lots of hotels, shops, clubs, restaurants that offer every service for tourists.
The beach is full of kids of all nationalities: music and high possibility to socialise.

Ibiza in the summer: If you love to stay surrounded by many people, clubs, music, restaurants with outdoor tables, if you love the nightlife, if you want to stay in the center of social life  you must necessarily stay between Playa d'en Bossa and Ibiza city. July and August are monthsvery crowded of tourists.
Nightlife, disco tour? This is the best area to stay in Ibiza.
Here my tips: the structures below can be booked on Booking.com: the price is per room and not per person. Often you can pay upon arrival.
If you are planning to go to Ibiza between july and august, book early. Trust me. Cancellation is free on Booking.
NICE HOTEL PLAYA D'EN BOSSA

BEST PLACES TO STAY : IBIZA TOWN Marina

 Ibiza for nightlife and discos

Walking towards the center you will see the ancient city called Dalt Vila with its cathedral on the top.
If you love panoramic views you will like it also for the medieval environment.
Dalt Vila is in  enclosed by walls where there are numerous museums, the Cathedral as well as numerous restaurants and shops. In the summer evening it is almost impossible to walk among the tables of restaurants full of people tasting the famous Spanish Tapas.

Eivissa
Ibiza town

To stay in Ibiza city: good solution to walk to Playa d'en Bossa and the city center.
The Ibiza clubs and its nightlife has no comparison across Europe. In the summer the best international DJs work in these crowded and expensive nightclubs.
The most famous discos of Ibiza are El Divino, Pacha and Amnesia. These places host tourists from all over Europe.
The nightclubs do not open before midnight but the "real night" starts around 2:00 am

WHERE TO STAY IN IBIZA: FIGUERETES

Ibiza for the gay and nudist world

Figueretes is a small, well-known village by gays in which there are clubs and exclusive hotels for the homosexual world. Do not miss the beautiful promenade that runs along this tourist destination.
Figueretes has a small but nice beach and nearby there are: Es Cavallet and Ses Salines, beaches frequented by nudists.
NICE HOTEL PLAYA D'EN BOSSA

WHERE TO STAY IN IBIZA: SANT ANTONI DE PORTMANY

Ibiza for young people, nightlife, and fun

It was my first trip in Ibiza, with a group of friends.
We came to San Antonio in a barracks full of youth (drunk at night) overlooking the street.... I slept 10 hours in 7 nights. 😩

Sunset in san antonio

San Antonio is one of the cheaper areas for accommodation and obviously there is a reason...
I came back home devastated. It was the week between July and August:  heat weather, young people (mostly English) screaming and drunk, the sea of San Antonio turned into a pisser. People sleeping on the sand in a comatose state surrounded by empty beer bottles.
Surely there are more peaceful structures but not in the downtown.
San Antonio has its own beauty but in the peak of the summer season (July, August), at least if you are not looking for pure nightlife, it is better to stay away from it and look for more inviting waters and beaches.
You can come here to see the Puesta del Sol (sunset) in fact this event attracts an infinity of tourists who crowd the bars overlooking the sea watching the sun that plunges into the ocean.
One of the most famous place is the Café del Mar but there are several bars next to each other to sit down and enjoy the show.
CHEAP HOTEL SAN ANTONI

WHERE TO STAY IN IBIZA: CALA TARIDA

A beautiful beach, in a quiet area

I stayed in Cala Tarida some year ago, at the end of May.
This small resort has a white sand beach with a basin suitable for children, as well as for adults. On the beach you can rent boats and take a drink in one of the several bars.
You can get to the beach walking down a stair with lots of steps, so it is NOT suitable for people with mobility difficulties.
BEST HOTEL CALA TARIDA

Cala Tarida beach
This is a good solution for those looking for a quiet place. In the evening there are not many entertainments but it is close to the main tourist towns like Sant Antoni de Portmany easily reached by bus.

WHERE TO STAY IN IBIZA: ES CANAR

For people looking for a quiet area with beautiful beaches

Es Canar is a quiet place but not far from bars, restaurants, pubs and shops.
Es Canar is famous for the hippy market on Wednesday from 9.00am to 7.00pm in Punta Arabi.
In this street market you can find clothes, objects and leather leather, jewelry, paintings and a self-service restaurant.

In Es Canar there is a beautiful sandy beach appreciated by families and not far away there is the quiet and small Cala Nova.

HOTEL ES CANAR close to beach

IBIZA WHERE TO GO: SANTA EULARIA DES RIU

If you like holiday villages, peaceful but also restaurants, shops, walks.

Santa Eularia is another popular destination in Ibiza and for many people the best place to stay.
Santa Eularia is the third largest town in Ibizia after the capital city and San Antonio.

Surrounded by the long beach and promenade, there are numerous shops, restaurants, hotels and bars.
The main street of the village, lined by numerous trees, is ideal for evening walks.

PERSONAL TIPS:
I have visitad Ibiza many times and I prefer to stay between Ibiza Town and playa d'en Bossa because I love walking through the shops.
Then, I usually rent a car in the airport that allows me to move and change beach every day (I recommend you to do it).

To Know:
The north is the wildest part of Ibiza, far from tourism (compared to the south) very green. Choose it only if you plan to travel by car or you are looking for a relax holiday.
I conclude the article dedicated to "where to stay in Ibiza" and  I hope to help you in your choice. If so, share the article. Thank you.

BEST PLACE TO STAY IN TENERIFE

The area in which I recommend staying in Tenerife is 👉 Los Cristianos.
The youngest, liveliest is Playa de Las Americas in the Las Veronicas area.

Playa de las Americas

Playa de Las Americas is the most popular destination in the south of Tenerife, very touristy near the most popular beaches like LAS VISTAS and PLAYA TROYA

Playa del las Americas is the centre of the Tenerife nightlife with lots of pubs and discos.

Playa de las Americas is recommended for:
  • Young people,
  • Single looking for new friends,
  • Who are looking for entertainment and nightlife,
  • Who wants to stay in the most popular area.
👉 Cheapest accommodation in Playa de las Americas

best place to stay in tenerife

Los Cristianos

Do you plan to go to Tenerife in January, February, March or April? Or looking for the best place to stay in Tenerife with families and children?

Los Cristianos is recommended for those who spend a holiday in Tenerife in winter because it is the hottest and sunniest area of Tenerife.
Los Cristianos is located adjacent to Las Americas and is the area with the best climate on the island. It is also full of shops and has a beautiful seaside promenade.
The hotels and residences are quieter. There are a lot of rental apartments in this area.

Choose an accommodation in Los Cristianos if:

- you travel with family and children.
- You want to stay in a tourist area.
- Looking for quiet nights just steps from the beach and the center.
- Looking for proximity to Playa de las Americas but without the risk of sleeping in a noisy place.

👉 Cheapest accommodation in Los Cristianos

Costa Adeje

El Duque beach, like most of Tenerife's most popular and popular beaches, is located in the south of the island. This beach is surrounded by luxury hotels and elite restaurants. The area is more exclusive than Las Americas.

There are usually more pensioners, wealthy people or anyone looking for a certain level of accommodation. The most prestigious hotels are located in Adeje.

Adeje is quieter then Playa de las Americas. It is indicated for families and retired people.

Puerto de la Cruz

Las Teresitas is the beach of Santa Cruz de Tenerife: a beautiful long beach of golden sand of about 1.5 km. Located in San Andrés, the area is frequented by residents and is rather windy.

The waves have been reduced thanks to the breakwaters it remains in fact a beach to be favored for summer stays and definitely less suitable for winter stays since the North of Tenerife is quite rainy and windy.

Lago Martianez
Lake Martianez, in Puerto de la Cruz, is a huge pool. It is composed by different swimming pools with salt water, volcanic rocks and palm trees overlooking the ocean. They are not heated, so I suggest you to take a bath only in the summer time.

- BEST AREA TO STAY IN LANZAROTE

Where is the best area to stay in Lanzarote? Best area to sleep, what to see, where to go, what are the most beautiful beaches, best resort in lanzarote for couples, for families, for nightlife...

Lanzarote where it is best
Best Lanzarote area
Stop here, you're in the right place. I will help you to choose the best area in Lanzarote according to your personal needs.

I often visit the Spanish islands (especially Gran Canaria where I have my holiday apartment) so I can help to planning a nice holiday in Canary islands.

Lanzarote is an island to discover and explore by car, bike or walking. The contact with nature is strong and is the ideal destination for those who want to disconnect from the city and live in the open-air. Good for recharge your batteries, see beautiful landscapes, sunbathing...

We talk about:

  1. Which part of Lanzarote is the best for... ?
  2. Where to stay in Lanzarote: recommended hotels, apartments, resort.
  3. Lanzarote Best beaches.

Lanzarote for young people/nightlife:  Puerto del Carmen or Arrecife.
Best area to visit Lanzarote up and down:  Puerto del Carmen.
Or Costa Teguise (to visit the norther area) and Playa Blanca (to visit the southern area)

⇨ Best choice to stay in Puerto del Carmen: Apartments facing Playa Grande .
⇨ The best choice to stay in Costa Teguise:  Apartments near the beach.
  1. Lanzarote for families with children. Playa Blanca.
  2. Lanzarote for those looking for the sea and the sun. Playa Blanca.
⇨ Best choice for sunbathing and beach life:  Apartments in the center of Playa Blanca.

Which part of Lanzarote is the best?

Que es la mejor zona de Lanzarote?

The island's most famous tourist cities:

  • Puerto del Carmen  in mid-island facing eastward.
  • The capital Arrecife.
  • Costa Teguise  in the north of the airport.
  • Playa Blanca:  South.
These locations are the primary choice of tourists coming to Lanzarote.
Now let's see in detail what is the best
area to stay in Lanzarote for you tastes.

BEST AREA TO STAY IN LANZAROTE for you...

Is it Puerto del Carmen?

Puerto del Carmen liken it to Playa del Ingles, Gran Canaria, because it is the "old tourist" and known area.
I went in February to Lanzarote and I stayed 3 nights in Puerto del Carmen.

PRO
  • Prices of apartments for rental holidays are competitive,
  • A long walk along the coast.
  • Wide beach.
  • A pretty old harbor area with many typical restaurants.
Choose to stay in Puerto del Carmen if you try:
  • Cheap Accommodation (South Island is more expensive)
  • You need a starting point to visit the island (the position halfway between the North and South is ideal for getting around without changing accommodation.)
  • Looking for nightlife: it is full of restaurants, pubs and shops. For "nightlife" I do not think to Ibiza style but something more soft . Although Lanzarote is not just the icon island of fun and nightlife, if you're young you should stay here.

BEST AREA TO STAY IN LANZAROTE for you...

Is it Costa Teguise?

If I went back to Lanza, I would stay here a couple of nights rather than in Puerto del Carmen as I did. The reasons are:
  • Much more comfortable for some sightseeing in the norther part of Lanzarote.
  • He gave me the feeling of being more chic than Puerto del Carmen.
Here I found many northern European retirees.
"Pueblo Marinero" is considered the center of social life in Costa Teguise full of Bars and restaurants. It is characteristic, however, as mentioned, if you're young people is best to stay in Puerto del Carmen.

    Stay in Costa Teguise why:

    1. It is a convenient location for visiting the North Island attractions.
    2. It is a tourist center that, although less of Puerto del Carmen, it has shops and restaurants.
There is also a beautiful beach in case you want to sunbathe but is a windy beach. In winter the water is freeze.
Playa de las cucharas, Lanzarote, costa teguise

BEST AREA TO STAY IN LANZAROTE for you...

    Is it Playa Blanca?

I stayed in Playa Blanca during my last days in Lanzarote holiday after visiting, up and down, the many attractions of the Norther area. I went to the south in search of relax, sunbathing and have a swim.

Unfortunately the weather was not good.

Usually, the Souther area is slightly warmer and less windy than the rest of the island but
, in my opinion, not enough to make sealife, at least in winter. For the winter season is better to go in Gran Canaria South West countries.

In Playa Blanca there are many families with children.

Choose the town of Playa Blanca if:

    • Are you looking for a relaxing holiday.
    • Want to visit Fuerteventura.
    • Looking for a place with tourist shops and restaurants.
    • Beach where you can swim.
    • Traveling with your family and children.
Where to stay in Playa Blanca?

BEST AREA TO STAY IN LANZAROTE for you...

    Is it Arrecife?

Like any capital, Arrecife town is NOT only for tourists but also to those who live and work there.
Arrecife is pretty connected to the bus station with a comfortable walk along the ocean and a park. The Reducto beach is wide, perfect for sunbathing

I visited Arrecife on several occasions always the weather was sunny but the last time I went, I was shocked: there was so much wind to create a tidal wave and the local police had to close the paseo (route overlooking the ocean) as the waves were high. A wind so strong to make it hard to breathe: I've never seen such a thing in my life.

Fortunately it was a sporadic episode. Arrecife is suitable for those on a budget: the prices here are lower than in the South. It is a good starting point to visit the north of the island and visit the museums of the city. The bus station connects all the major cities of Lanzarote.

    Summing
Best place to stay in Lanzarote:

    1. Lanzarote for teenagers
    Puerto del Carmen, Arrecife.

    2. Lanzarote for families
    Playa Blanca.

    3. Lanzarote Children
    Playa Blanca.

Lanzarote is NOT the hottest Canary island in the winter season. If you looking for a warmer area stay to Los Cristianos (Tenerife) or Puerto Rico / Mogan (Gran Canaria) the  hottest areas of the Canaries in winter.
